How did you make this font?
Hi Shannon,
would you please consider adding a version with an alternative shape for the a
letter? I mean an a
shaped like the one of Arial, Verdana, Courier, ecc.
Anyway, thank you for creating and sharing this font!
Will not use without them.
See this page.
Hi,
Is it possible to create the italic version of the font? I use it in my coding program and I would like to see the comments in italics.
Thanks
Hey, thanks for the fun font project! I'm enjoying the bit of whimsy when coding!
One of my displays is set to a 1.25 scaling factor. On that display, the font displays ugly rendering artefacts around the edges, especially at sizes typically used in a editor (the font size in the attached screenshot is 16px, the editor is VS Code). These artifacts are especially noticable on letters like the lower-case e
and s
. There are no such issues if the window is moved over to a 2x display.
This is how the famous Czech pangram looks like:
It should look like that:
Příliš žluťoučký kůň úpěl ďábelské ódy
Also the ď and ť are buggy in that font. Even though they technically are with háček, an apostrophe is used instead for the readability. That's not a problem for ľ and Ľ though (which are used in Slovak but not Czech)
Please don't give me bone hurting juice.

That's it. That's the issue.
According to this it's specifically the space character (U+0020) and the small letter n (U+006E), the former is slightly thinner while the latter is slightly wider than the rest.
Here's what it ends up looking like (the | characters should line up, but they don't):
You only released otf font, which cannot by identified in gvim on windows. Can you release ttf font?
please add the lambda character
I feel like someone needed to file this obvious issue.
Downloaded directly from Github. The font appears like this in Windows 10's preview:
This is how it appears in Notepad when typing the following (including four spaces at the start of each line)
0123456789 ?!
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
Edit: This does not affect the OTF version, which works normally.
The default font weight is too heavy. I think a lighter one would be much more suited for code, tho I guess it would need a complete manual redesign? Or is there some naive font-weight converter that we could use?
While the "Y" character provided by comic-shanns and co is true to the original Comic Sans capital "Y", it is also distractingly out of place with the rest of the capital letters and decreases legibility if left on its own (is it capital? Lowercase? Hard to say without context). I think it would be good to have a capital "Y" with a more vertical tail
