jQuery.parseHTML breaks in IE8 with aight about aight HOT 6 CLOSED

#27 notes some other strangeness with jQuery. I'm curious: why use aight and jQuery together?

I'm writing some code need to run on IE8 with knockout and jQuery. knockout uses string.trim() so I need to find a shim for that.

I would suggest using es5-shim then. If you're using jQuery then you won't need most of what aight provides.

@shawnbot Just to be clear, #27 has nothing to do with jQuery. The manifestation of the bug was just first noticed when I was using jQuery, but I've shown on the issue that the bug is indeed in aight's shim for Node.textContent.
