I think it's a common "try-out" case to just run the example locally, with StatsD running on localhost. I think it makes sense to have a default for hostname => localhost.
What do you think?

It seems that artifacts are not published properly to sonatype. The highest version I can find is 2.1.3 and the jar seems empty (only contains the MANIFEST).

I'm currently trying to work with your project with 2.11, however as stated in issue #13 the 2.11 version jars only contain MANIFEST. Since your problems posting to Sonatype seem to be fixed with the release of 3.0.3 for 2.12, I was wondering if we could expect a 2.11 version of 3.0.3.

First of all, thank you for this StatsD driver.

By default, any UUID in the bucket path is substituted with token [id]. However, services like hostedgraphite requires to prefix the path with a valid client token, given as an UUID.

The driver cannot send data to these services as it obfuscates the identification token. It would be useful not to rely on any default, or to have a option to prevent this behavior from happening.

Hi I know last year you said you were having troubles publishing to SonaType, but so far there still has been no new release since 2.1.3. As 3.0.0+ has a new module, which would be quite helpful to have, I was wondering when this will be available on maven.
