A simple web-based application for managing grocery inventory. This project includes two endpoints: a POST endpoint for adding grocery items to the inventory and a GET endpoint for retrieving all items in the inventory.
- Add grocery items with names and quantities.
- View the current inventory of grocery items.
- Backend: Node.js, Express
- Frontend: HTML, JavaScript
- Additional Packages: Body-parser for handling JSON data
- Node.js and npm installed on your machine.
- Clone the repository:
git clone <repository_url> Replace <repository_url> with the actual URL of your GitHub repository.
Navigate to the project directory:
cd grocery_inventory_management Install dependencies: npm install
Running the Application Start the server:
node app.js The server will run at http://localhost:3000.
Open your web browser and visit http://localhost:3000 to access the Grocery Inventory application.
Usage Use the form to add grocery items by entering the item name and quantity and clicking the "Add Item" button. The inventory will be displayed below the form. Testing Endpoints To test the POST endpoint, add items through the form. To test the GET endpoint, observe the items displayed in the inventory. Demo Watch a demo of the project here.
