Hi!
I believe I've fixed this in our next release (2.0.0) via d1c71e6. Until version 2.0.0 is out (it will be out today I think), you can test it out by deleting the package and re-requiring it directly from the master branch.
composer remove shipping-docker/vessel
composer require shipping-docker/vessel:dev-masterNote that 2.0.0 requires re-building the images.

Same behaviour on Ubuntu 16.04 with <2.0.0.
Works with 2.0.0 on Ubuntu 16.04

Yep makes sense. Only 2.0.0 + will have this issue resolved.
