To run:
npm run start-watch

package.json file contains scripts (like test and start-watch)
it also contains dependencies
and also devDependencies which is only installed on debug mode; on release mode, don't install. (automatically)

$ firebase serve
That saved the current directory and creates temporary local website that you can view.
It is recommended before using 
$ firebase deploy
because it uploads the entire folder.
