In order for the text to be visible on any background, a common practise is to draw black text with white stroke (or vice-versa). One easy way to do this, especially with OpenCv, is to draw letters with thick font and then draw the same text with thin font but different color on top.
The cv-uni-text does not provide the thickness option; and when I try draw with two versions of the same font (bold and regular; or: bold and light) the letters are misplaced, even with monospace fonts. Below is the example of doing so with UbuntuMono Regular and UbuntuMono Bold:

It will be neat to have an oppotunity of drawing text with stroke around letters (rather that rectangular background) so it can be visible regardless of background.
