Thanks for reporting this. I have updated the html so that next release will correctly highlight "Error Handling demo" when showing that page.
I have tried the Launch Demo button but that is working for me. If you click View Source it should open the source code folder. Can you try launching it from the folder and see if you get any errors? Another way to find out what is wrong is to run deskshell_debug.exe instead of deskshell.exe this will open a console window and then hopefully you will see an error when clicking the Launch Demo button so we can find out what is happening.
I am assuming you are running on windows, if you are running on Mac then I know that not all of the functionality has been implemented on that yet.

When I open up the source dir and run it from there it works.
When I run the demo-docs.desk in deskshell_debug.exe and click on Launch Demo it outputs the following into the console:
{ relpath: 'content/demos/ErrorHandlingDemo/ErrorHandlingDemo.desk-back' }
Launching App C:\Users\Chris\AppData\Local\Deskshell\sys-apps\demo-docs\content
demos\ErrorHandlingDemo\ErrorHandlingDemo.desk-back
C:\Users\Chris\AppData\Local\Deskshell\sys-apps\demo-docs\content\demos\ErrorHan
dlingDemo\ErrorHandlingDemo.desk-back
launchApp exec error:Error: Command failed: '"C:\Users\Chris\AppData\Local\Desks
hell/deskshell-debug.exe"' is not recognized as an internal or external command

operable program or batch file.
Hope this makes some sense :-)

Ah great, thanks for doing that testing chris. The reason is that it is trying to launch "deskshell-debug.exe" instead of "deskshell_debug.exe". This proves that you must have been one of the first people to install deskshell since that error was in the initial configuration that I released in the first version of deskshell.
I am compiling a new release that will fix this issue for you, it will also contain a couple of additional improvements. It will take around 10 mins or so before it hits the interwebs. If you run the updater or just run deskshell directly (so it launches the docs application) then it will check and find the new version and offer to download it for you.

It should be available for you now if you update deskshell and then try launching the demo again.

That's sorted it!
Amazing efforts Simon. Really enjoy following along on this project, even if my contributions (due to time & ability) are rather limited. Good catch on the underline vs. hyphen -- the kind of bug I can look at for hours without catching the difference ;-)
The auto updater has been working flawlessly for me. Love watching the new updates come through at such a prodigious rate and looking forward to lots of new & cool stuff in the future.
