Checkout the Graphics folder: https://github.com/sihorton/appjs-deskshell/tree/master/Graphics there is 128.png in there.

As soon as I can squeeze a couple of mins in, will look at creating some
other icon sizes -- if someone could send me a list of what's needed,
shouldn't be an issue.
Cheers,
-Chris
I am currently working on the Deskshell bundle...and I just converted
the icon without checking the size - and then I realized, ouch, its
tiny XD. Can somebody give me something with a resolution closely to
100x100? x.x...Hint... this could be useful: http://iconverticons.com/online/

Making one huge size would be better.
The size of this icon should do it - we can still downscale it if needed.

Hi Ingwie,
I've just put in a pull request with a newly created logo set in vector
format (.eps and .pdf).
These should easily be usable in any size, although tiny versions tend
to need some hand-crafting to be clear.
Cheers,
-Chris

Just shout if you need a specific size in a png, etc and I'll do the
conversion for you.

Well, the size of the icon I linked earlier would be what I need, especially in .png format and possibly with the bg layer being alpha=0 (transparent) ^^
I am no graphics guy, but I know about 12 different graphic designers...so i know somewhat about this stuff X3

Put in a pull request with a .png transparent version of the logotype in various sizes. Hope it helps.
from appjs-deskshell.
Thanks for all these files. In order to have an icon shown in the deskshell window we set a "favicon" in the html. I converted the appjs icon to ico format using an online converter. Result is here: https://github.com/sihorton/appjs-deskshell/blob/master/Graphics/deskshell.ico
If you have time maybe you would be willing to create a favicon that we can use for all of the default applications?
from appjs-deskshell.
Perfect, going to check it out right away! ^_^

So far, so good. I now have to somehow cut the icon I want out, since you put in the whole icon sheeth. Oh well ^^. Ill get there...somehow. o-o If somebody can cut it out for me (largest on the right side), thatd be great. that is the size that I can use to create the Mac OS icons.

Should be easy to sort a quick Crop of the image to the bit you want.
Otherwise, just send me a list of the required icon sizes that you need for Mac OS and I'll see if I can get them all created and added to a Mac OS Icons folder on github.
Cheers,

Sadly, pixir removed the transparency when I cropped something - thus my cropping skills as a near-blind suck x3
I'd need the icon from the upmost right side - not the top! - in 512 × 512 with transparent background. This size will fit for each mac after i converted it ito the own format...but for it to work, I need it as .png to have the transparency (jpg appearently does not support alpha=0 :/).
Thanks in advance ^^

No, sadly jpgs don't have any alpha (the bane of web designers for the last 20 yrs).
Have just added a 512x512 png to the Graphics folder. At some point if/when the logo/icon becomes official then it would be good to get all cleaned up and a series of png's (with trans backgrounds) done for the most commonly used sizes.
from appjs-deskshell.
It works! ^_^
I am going to include the mac icon soon into my soon-to-come push.

Closing this issue now we have better graphics :-)
from appjs-deskshell.
Hey!
So yeah..I have been a little absent for a while, and that had many many reasons.
1st, my school started again and I got heavily throttled in developing.
2nd, the original AppJS now belongs to me, which caused me to read A LOT of stuff about CEF3 and alike. I am currently prepairing the 0.21 release which is to support older appjy apps (further, „legacy apps“) for a while longer with the latest nodejs and CEF. HOWEVER, AppJS itself is going to go thru a whole change and will become a real part of Deskshell, as it may replace the big Chromium browser in offering some functions to Deskshell that were yet exclusive to AppJS. Basically, I am taking the current appJS and turning it into a very customized CEF who can recieve its parameters either thru a file or STDIN. The parameter is a JSON object to set up menu, handlers, etc. So I am bringing customization features to Deskshell. But…expect this to take a while, seriously. I am not a C/C++ guy, yet I am going to do this lot of work. The projects I have been playing with so far were tiny; dylibbundler and ccdv. not very big o.o
3rd: Maverics happened. With Mavericks, a tester of drag0n reported that the GUI no longer worked. Since it was based off Deskshell, this was a clear alarm that OS X 10.9 would break Deskshell too. So I had some troubble and isues - and during that, My mac died out completely. Good thing is, I had backups. the better thing is, I now have a build environment within drag0n that can build Deskshell 100%. Im not using any of apple’s native tools anymore. In fact, I only kept xcode for the OBJCXX headers, since I can not re-distribute them into drag0n.
But now, check this:
What you are seeing here is the updated Chromium running the Mini Bundle Deskshell app. I highlighted the version number as like a verification.
What I have left to do is very minor, to close up to Simon’s current amazing work; the JS side. I need to upgrade it, and so do I have to upgrade the PHP side.
Besides that, the windows fodler will get my first touch: a TXT file with a download link to a PHP build I did which has pthreads support. I dont have a screenshot here, but I can verify it ran some of drag0n’s MT scripts successfuly. Ony bad thing is, that cURL is currently compiled as a dll rather than as a static lib…but that’s subject to change.
To run this PHP version, you need the 2012 runtime.
Yeah, thats some updating here…I know. But I thought i’d let you know :)
Kind regards, Ingwie!
PS: If you are fooling around with compiling and such like me - go and check ninja. Its a lifesaver.
from appjs-deskshell.
Great Work Ingwie. Nice to have an update from you, I can post an update to the mailing list on all of the changes I have been doing on the JS side (I have done 28 releases now!). Good news is that lots of people are downloading deskshell and trying it out and we are starting to get more issues and error reports from users as they are using it more. It does seem that the chrome portable I am using has a number of issues so switching to appjs / CEF / CEF3 browser looks like the long term direction for the project so it is really great you took over appjs and are getting into the whole problem area, if anyone can crack the compiler issues it must be you!
from appjs-deskshell.
Although I apreciate your response, i have to „report“ an issue; wrong thread pal XD. At least, when I sent my email, I sent it with a different subject o.o
