breezycreate2's Introduction

BreezyCreate2 provides a simple abstraction layer on top of the Create2API library by Brandon Pomeroy, suitable for use by beginning Python programmers. BreezyCreate2 uses the standard Python distutils to install the Python module breezycreate2 and the JSON file required by Create2API. I have tested it with Python 2.7 and 3.5.

Once you've installed BreezyCreate2, you can access its sole class, the Robot class, which has easy methods for interacting with the robot: setForwardSpeed, playNote, getBumpers, etc. (See the robotest.py script for an example.)

The roboserver.py script can be run on a Raspberry Pi or other single-board computer, to control your Create2 over a wireless ad-hoc network. The corresponding robotclient.py script uses a joystick or game controller to send commands to the server over the network. The playsong.py script will use the Create2 to play a familiar melody.

breezycreate2's Issues

Question

question

question2

May I ask the yellow part of what is meant ?

unpack requires a buffer of 1 bytes

most of the time I try and get the sensor information, I receive an error; "umpack requires a buffer of 1 bytes." I am running breezycreate 2 using python3 on a Raspberry Pi model 3+

How can I execute the BreezyCreate2 code from website?

First of all I want to thank you so much for contributing to this BreezyCreate2 code. I'm a student at Northcentral Technical College in Wisconsin and I'm using the Create2 for my final project in the Electromechanical Technology program. I came across your code and was able to install it (took me a while but it was worth it!) and am now controlling my Create2 using python which is awesome. I am also using the create2api by pomeroyb.

Here is my issue: I am very new to programming in Python, and have some experience making websites. I would like to run your BreezyCreate2 code on my RaspberryPi 3 to make my robot move via a web interface. There is almost no documentation or videos out there on doing this - or else I am too much of a noob to find it.

Can you point me in the right direction toward a web development tool that will allow me to interface with your code on the Rpi ?
