Hey guys,

had excactly the same problem. after digging a bit into simons code, I found out, that the IOException came from byte[] payload = (byte[])message.obj; in the incomingHandler (ClientThread.java). It wasnt surrounded by try/catch. After that, I got a java.lang.ClassCastException... I tried to send a regular string...

Try moving it a few lines down. That helped me.

UPDATE:
Ok - I see... what if you just open the socket again to retrieve new data? just run the thread again...
