vpcm kext does not seem to install in MacOS Monterey

The build process works, but moving the vpcm.kext file to the specified location and rebooting the machine does not install it. There is no /dev/vpcmctl device created. kextstat does not show anything related to vpcm and I cannot find any errors in regard to the attempted loading either.

I have Monterey 12.5.1.

Any further info or suggestions would be appreciated!

Rewrite as a System Extension?

Any plans to rewrite this as not-a-kext so it can be installed without disabling SIP? Or maybe getting a kext-signing key and distributing the compiled kext? :) I'm on Sonoma and you have to run in essentially a crippled mode to load this kext.

Any known windows version of this?

Not that I have any earthly idea how to do this but it would be pretty cool to get this compiled for arm... I tried changing the architectures and got a codeless kext :(
