Currently, I’m building a spec for the language syntax.

Function definitions

The following is a standard function definition.

(පේළිය/පේළියේ) තෝරන්න කිව්වොත් {
    ...
}

තෝරන්න is the function name.

පේළිය/පේළියේ is an argument to the function. Either name can be used to access the same variable.

A generator can be implemented using the දෙන්න keyword.

Conditionals

j == i නම් {
    ...;
} නැත්තං j > i නම් {
    ...;
} නැත්තං {
    ...;
}

Loops

Loop through an iterable

පේළියෙන් එකින් එක i කියලා අරං {
    ...;
}

  • පේළියෙන් is an Iterable object (e.g. a list or generator)

  • i is the iterator

Loop while a condition is true

i = 0;
i < 10 කල් {
    i += 1;
}
