If you are new to git, I highly urge you to read at least one of the following resources:

no resources are listed. The next paragraph does mention Peepcode, but that's about it. Was there supposed to be a list of other resources here?

II would like to be able to use/mash this up to support an internal training initiative, but there is no explicit license (such as CC).

Can you clarify this?

There are also many great cheatsheets availble on the web including:

It looks like you forgot to include the cheat sheets...

The link for Git Community Book is no longer active as the book has been deprecated (see @schacon's announcement, Community Book Deprecation section).

Hence, it might be better to replace with the Pro Git Book as that's what replaced the Community Book? Or if you prefer the Community Book, an active link mentioned in the announcement is here, but because it's the uncompiled version, it might not be a good link to replace the broken link.

Either way, if needed, I wouldn't mind sending you a PR for this update.

You refer to the Appendix in a few places but it's not there.
