smu-hack-a-week's Issues

SMUHacks??

Why aren't we using the McHacks' page like I suggested earlier?

Avatar Image

Create an image asset for use as an avatar or user portrait (twitter, facebook, etc).

Hardware info

Add more details about what hardware and support Microsoft is bringing.

Site Analytics

We should consider adding some analytics to the web page.

Are there desirable alternatives to Google Analytics?
Eventbrite has Google Analytics integration, that may be reason enough to choose Google.

Resize the ISL logo

We currently are not sizing logos base on sponsorship level, but the ISL logo is far too large in comparison to the other logos.

Default open a panel of panel groups.

The panels should not all default to closed. Each panel group should have a panel opened.

  1. The "Schedule" panel will have the corresponding day opened.
  2. The "What are people saying" panel used to have 'Twitter' open, why was this changed? I noticed it does lengthen the row. If that's undesirable, then perhaps open the Kelly Regan quote.
  3. The "Frequently Asked" Questions panel should default to open.

Facebook default image

Can we do some investigating to find out by what criteria Facebook selects an image from a website to use in linked posts?
Currently facebook posts linking to the hackaweek page grab the Frontier logo, can we do somethign to influence this?
Ideally Facebook should use the top SMU hackaweek banner.
