@kristow Has this issue been resolved yet? What version of Azure DevOps server are you running on and when did you have your last update?

Kind regards

Originally posted by @JimmyKB in #15 (comment)

This issue has not been resolved. We are running Azure DevOps Sever (Version 18.181.31626.1 ). The last update of the @scale extension was 11 hours ago, we are running version 1.5.103.

Board - Deleting dependency via Delete key doesn't work on Safari/Chrome on a Mac

When viewing the Scale board, you cannot delete a dependency that is highlighted on Safari (latest) or (Chrome) on a Mac. It may work on a windows PC, but not sure.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to 'Boards'
  2. Click on dependency (create one if you need to) until it is red
  3. Press the 'Delete' key
  4. Note that the dependency does not delete

Expected behavior
It deletes the dependency

@Scale plugin bad readability on dark theme

Describe the bug
Work item number and titles sometimes not visible since the background is too bright.
Summary of number of work items when collapsed and dependencies in/out are not visible since the background is too bright.
Q: Why are some work items background super bright?
I have tried:

  • cleared cache
  • switched to light theme in Devops and back to dark again

To Reproduce
Have multiple teams and dependencies between features, have features planned out in sprints.

  1. Go to @scale
  2. Click on Board
  3. Click on Collapse All

Expected behavior
Being able to see work item number and title of all tickets, circled in the smaller red box.
Being able to see the text on mini-cards that I think refers to dependencies and how many tickets (when collapsed), circled in the bigger red box.

Dark Theme Display not displaying correctly on Board

We are leveraging @scale extension with Azure DevOps Sever (Version 18.181.31626.1 ). One of the recent updates introduced a bug for users running in Dark Mode. On the Boards tab of @scale the first column is a white background in Dark Mode See screenshot below for example.

@Scale board

The @scale objective board is not showing progress bar.
When I look at some other teams I can see the progress there and also saw it when another user sharing it works for my team. So there might be a user setting issue.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

our team is Data & BI

Expected behavior
The progess bar should be shown the active work status.

Dependencies still showing after Collapse all of teams.

Describe the bug
Dependencies on the program board are still shown if you do a "collapse all" of the teams.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Given an ART, with multiple teams and some items on the @scale board.
  2. Turn on show dependencies via the settings.
  3. Create dependencies between items.
  4. Now use the Collapse all in the team column.
  5. Notice how the dependencies are still shown without connecting anything. See attached screenshot.

Expected behavior
I would expect the dependencies to disappear when you "Collapse all" the teams. Dependencies are hidden when teams are collapsed individually.

Items not showing on board after latest update (1.3.98 on Friday)

Even though items Area Path (for the teams in PI) and Iteration Path (iterations in current PI) are correct no items whatsoever show up. For older PI's the items still show up but not for the current one. I was asked to add a field and I'm not sure if that was the cause or the update (or if they are related).

The ART settings functions after adding the field so I guess I added it correctly and that my action is not the direct cause of the issue.

start configuration button is greyed.

Unable to specify some state values in WSJF board query

Describe the bug
Some state values are not showing in the value dropdown when creating query in WSJF Board.
When selecting a comparison operator like "In" I am unable to type in values or to select multiple values form the dropdown list.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Problem 1:
Open WSJF Board
Click +New Query
In first query clause, select "State" under the Field selection
Select "=" from the operator dropdown
Try to select "Analyzing" from the "Value" dropdown (this is a custom state we have on features) - the "Analyzing" state is not in the dropdown, and I am unable to type it in free-form.

Problem 2:
Open WSJF Board
Click +New Query
In first query clause, select "State" under the Field selection
Select "In" from the operator dropdown
Try to indicate multiple values in the "Value" dropdown - it isn't [possible, and I am unable to type in a free-form list of values to match against

Expected behavior
I except to find all State values, including custom state values, for all workitem types available for match, or to have the ability to type in a known state value.
I expect to be able to specify multiple state values in the value field for multi=-value comparison operators like ?In". Whether by multi-selecting from a list or typing in a list by hand.

Groups enabled for License Management for @Scale.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
It is a manual effort to add and remove individual users to @scale license.

Describe the solution you'd like
Enable the ability to use ADO groups and Active Directory groups to manage who has a license.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Creating external automation for this.

Forecasting Capabilities

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Using basic team velocity and backlog data to assist with product forecasting tends to generate unrealistic expectations along with inaccurate forecasts. Using velocity and backlog data in a monte carlo simulation can provide significantly more useful forecast data and set more realistic expectations.

Describe the solution you'd like
I see tremendous value in a monte carlo simulation tool that is integrated directly into the @scale Azure DevOps extension that could enable Product Owners/Managers to quickly and easily generate forecast data on the fly with "real-time" velocity and backlog data straight from Azure DevOps.

Describe alternatives you've considered
It's possible to use generic monte carlo simulators on the internet but it requires manual inputs and can be tedious/difficult for less tech-savvy individuals in an organization.
