Postal Code Map

This is an effort by datameet to create a reasonably accurate Creative Commons geomapping of PIN codes in India.

How do I contribute to the map?

Go to http://pincode.datameet.org/IN/110001 (or any other PIN code). Place or move the marker where you think the PIN code should be placed. Save it. Anyone can log in and edit. A history of all changes will be maintained.

How do I get the data out?

Download from http://pincode.datameet.org/download.

How good is this data?

The original data was sourced from GeoNames. We've no idea how good or bad it is. If you know any better bulk sources of data, please share at the datameet mailing list.
