When X and Y positions are incremented, use an assembly loop for that. That also keeps values in registers for xor-shift PRNG.

• one sprite loads one memory location off
• sprites appear in a trail
• sprite disappears one row before bottom and one column before right
• 4 sprites appear when moving right, or colliding with a mountain moving left or right, and disappear after 10 steps

For the same (x, y), this is how it's used incorrectly:

1. is_removed(66, 64)
2. remove_item(15426, 15478)
3. p.x[0] = 67, p.y[0] = 62 (correct position)

Pandora's box gets opened by pirates, releasing all the evils. You capture the evils then return the box.
