[ 0.50.2 ] Empty Cart --- TypeError (nil can't be coerced into BigDecimal): about spree HOT 3 CLOSED

I'm seeing this same issue on 0.60-stable during the checkout process.

Looks like its a ruby 1.9 issue (but we're interested in resolving those too.) Flagging as such and hopefully someone can provide a patch soon.

I'm not quite sure that this is ruby 1.9 related. I think that this is due to the fact that in some situations order.adjustments contains an adjustment having the amount being nil. My quickfix was to replace the line calculating the adjustment_total in promo.rb with this:

self.adjustment_total = self.adjustments.map{|adj| adj.amount.nil? ? 0.00 : adj.amount }.sum

Beware: I have no idea which side effects this might have.
