pyblehci's Issues

Fail to terminate

Issue is failing to terminate.
I have a blue led to show if connection is present.
So, if I use Btool from TI, and terminate, the led turns off.
With pyblehci, I issue "fe0a" to request termination, and get the status ok and op_code "GATT_TerminateLinkRequest", but the connection is not disconnected.
I don't get a 0606 GAP_LinkTerminated event. In Btool I do get this final event log.

The installer doesn't work

There are a number of issues:

It says README.rst cannot be found no such file or directory. I
commented out that line in the setup.py code and I get another error
saying UserWarning: Unknown distribution option "install_requires" followed
by error: package directory 'pyblehci' does not exist.

We should fix this. Until then, people can install this manually:

...What I would suggest doing instead is copying the 'pyblehci' folder in the source to your Python path. You can find this like so:

$ python
>> import xml
>> xml.__path__
['/usr/lib/python2.7/xml']

Copy the pyclehci library (i.e. this one[1] into this directory). You should now be able to load the library.

Alternatively, you can modify the PYTHONPATH to include the absolute path to the aforementioned folder. For example, on Linux:

export PYTHONPATH=$PYTHONPATH:[path to the aformentioned folder]

Example:

export PYTHONPATH=$PYTHONPATH:/home/stephenfin/projects/pyblehci/pyblehci

There's a way to do this on Windows but I don't recall how (set or setenv?)

Hope this helps,

Stephen
