framework issue it says i need a certain one

Hello all
I've installed yesterday the RCS on my media center with win7 pro and i've found 2 problems.

1. on my htpc/server I've installed VirtualBox with his virtual network card, obviusly it's seen as another lan card. When the server started, it taked by default the VirtualBox net whitout prompt or possibility of change it with the right network lan.
   The subnet of the two lan are:
   Lan: 192.168.0.xxx
   VirtualBox Lan: 192.168.56.xxx
   Deactivating the VB Lan the RCS takes the right network and my mobile was fount.
   How can I change the net without deactivating the VB net?

2. I've seen that the RCS occupies about 135 MB of RAM!!! TOO MUCH!!! Please can you optimize that?

Hi, I always get a crash message whenever I start it, also it does not start automatically when windows starts! Ive change it to run on administrator rights.

The Media Remote isn't working pretty well.
The only bottons working are the chilling vibes/sound cloud/windows media playier and the volume ones.
The Play/Pause, Back and Skip buttons don't work.

This is the only bug I noticed so far.

Hi! Everything was working fine and suddenly, I always get this error in the Server and cursor will go from one side of the screen to the other...

If you are using the server version 2.1.0 or newer

• Open the Remote Control Server
  
• Click Settings
• Go to Update
  
• Click Install the latest version
  
• Click Download the latest version
• Wait until the server restarts

If you are using the server version 2.0.1 or older

• Open the Remote Control Server's installation directory. By default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Remote Control Server\
• Right-click on the Update executable and select Run as Administrator
• Click Install

If the above fails

• Uninstall the current version
• Install the latest version

When I first start the ap, the mouse is not visible. If I invoke the mouse by using the regular mouse, the cursor appears then works fine.

When i'm chatting on facebook and attempt to send a msg when i hit enter it send me back to the main menu and it doesnt send the msg
and in my Keyboard i have this letter Ñ and when i press it doesnt show.
i'm using Version 2.2.1 Beta

Maybe I'm doing something wrong here. I have music playing in my computer, I click on the 'media' function on my phone, and I see the buttons, but clicking them doesn't do anything. The only ones that work are those that take me to a webpage, and the 'mute' one.
I've tried with VLC and the default Windows media player.

Download the latest installer from here and run it. Follow the instructions given.

When installed in the default directory, you will find the server executable here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Remote Control Server\

Updates and configuration files will be saved in your app data directory:
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Remote Control Server\

since iv do a fresh install of windows 8.1, remote control server working few seconde, then the mouse stop to moving, im forced to restart the program remotecontrolserver for have again the mouse for few min.

iv never had this problem on windows 7, just on my previous install..

it happen when i double click on a program, it freeze...

that a strange bug, i think not stable yet on windows 8.1 ....

I paid for the full version of this and didn't get a code to use, and everytime I change my mouse setting under the advance options it never save my settings it always reverts back to the default mouse settings. plz fix this.

Hi, I'm having an issue where it can't establish a connection to the server. Could this be because my computer is on an Ethernet connection where as my phone is on a WiFi connection. I have poked about on the website and read that it communicated via a WiFi signal which is why I'm thinking this is the problem.

I have gone through my firewall settings and added the ports and it didn't work; even when I turned my firewalls off (Windows and Avast!) I still couldn't connect.

The server appears to stop responding on appearance of a User Account Control dialogue in Windows 7 Home Premium.

The server responds correctly prior to the dialogue appearing, then stops responding to tablet input (mouse or keyboard), and does not begin responding again until the server is restarted.

This occurred on an Adobe update, and when clearing restoring Chrome to default settings.

Chances are that the Windows Firewall is blocking the network capabilities of the Remote Control Server. If that's the case, you need to make an exception for the server.

Follow this guide:
Allow a program in the Windows Firewall

If that still doesn't work, make sure that ports 1925, 1926 and 1927 are open:
Open a port in the Windows Firewall

If you just downloaded the server executable

Simply delete the RemoteControlServer.exe file from where you saved it to. If you updated the server, the latest version will be at:
C:\Users\<Your user name>\AppData\Roaming\Remote Control Server\

If you installed the server using the setup

Follow this guide: How to uninstall a Windows program, the name of the Program will be "Remote Control Server"

any non latin character isn't recived!

While the log shows periods. commas, question marks, hashes, and so on were sent, none appear on the screen in the text area where user is typing. Only Alphanumeric character appear. Thanks

how do i right click with the mouse remote control?

I uninstalled Remote Control Collection app for android by accident and I activated the trial code before. Now I installed the app again and it said I may only use one trial code per device. I just activated it one day ago!

Server says it needs the .Net Framework v.4

Every time I try to scroll up by moving my finger up along the right side, when I let go, it scrolls back down. Every time.

after I installed RemoteControlServer on my asus laptop it works great but then my real mouse stopped working. I changed my battery and even bought a new mouse because I thought the had a malfunction. but still it did not work. I can't find the RemoteControlServer in my control panel to uninstall it. it was installed at C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Remote Control Server, how can I uninstalled this up or can you get both to work together. On my first try in connecting the to the computer, it was very successful. But on my second try, it says "Unable to connect,server not found" yet my devices are connected to the internet. By the way, the IP address is null.

I got the server running and I suppose it shows a genuine IP. However, in the IP section of the app, it says "null". Please help. My PC is connected to my phone's wifi btw.

When trying to edit the Whitelist, deleting the only entry leaves a blank line that is reported as an invalid entry, and the apply button gets disabled.

I run Windows 8, which has a really good touch UI.
When using the Live Screen option it would therefore be really nice if it could send the touch events I create on my Android (or other) device directly to the server, using absolute coordinates instead of relative movements.

To have this work on all devices and resolutions you will probably need to do a little math to send the coordinates over as percentages so that everything scales nicely, but I do think this is quite doable, and it would make a great addition!

Pressed random buttons and this happened. Not only in Chrome, it happens everywhere when "Live Transfer" is open.

I have an Acer Iconia W700 running Windows 8.1. The mouse function appears to work, but the mouse pointer is not visible. You can see where it is sometimes by the hover function, but the actual pointer itself is not able to be seen. When I use a regular mouse plugged into the computer, the mouse pointer shows up normally. What might the problem be, and how might I fix it?

I use the free windows magnify which comes with windows 7 etc. My normal mouse moves the screen when I get to the edges, but the mouse with remote input does not do that. Can you get it to work with windows magnify?

If you are using Android 4.0 or newer you can get the latest updates for the free Remote Control Collection app before anyone else to try out the new features before they will be released for everyone.

To do that, follow these steps:

1. Join our Beta Tester community on Google+
2. Wait until you got approved
3. Sign up as a tester on Google Play

You will receive an automatic update if there's a beta version available. If you don't join the Google+ community, you won't be able to sign up as a tester. If you don't sign up as a tester, you won't receive the beta updates.

You don't receive a code when purchasing an upgrade.

If you purchased an in-app upgrade
... the remotes you purchased will be available in the free app. Restart the app if they have not been unlocked instantly.

If you purchased a standalone app
... a new app will be available on your device. Set up a connection using this app instead of using the free app.

When connecting to the Remote Control Server, the app will send it's license automatically.

Unlock codes are only for promotional purposes.

so far i am unable to scan and connect to a windows 8.1 server.
is this not supported or is there something not obvious that i should be doing?

well i find the beta to work verry well via direct connect ..but trying to connect via internet becomes an issue ...using ports 1925-1926 tcp and udp ..bitdefender fire wall disabled router firewall set to dmz ......nothing happens ..i am running the paid for version if there is such an animal .....

Great app but pinch is always zooming on webpages when I wish to scroll with two fingers.
I know I can scroll on the right side but I prefer double finger.
Needs an option to disable pinch.

The space bar does not get transmitted to the PC, likewise the special characters do not get typed. Only alphabets and numbers work. I am using LG P880 handset with Jellybean.

i installed remote control app from play store in my android device(sony xperia z), which have the version as 2.0.3.22 and ip address as 192.168.1.100.
whereas, the server i installed on my pc from www.android-remote.com for windows have a version as 2.2.1 beta with ip address as 192.168.1.101
thus, my android device's app and pc server is unable to connect all the time.
please solve it

While trying to use the mouse pointer on my laptop the pointer itself jumps all over the screen. It seems to be effected differently based on the speed the mouse pointer is set at but I can't seem to find a speed at which the pointer doesn't jump at all. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The Remote Control Collection Pro App (v2.0.2.95) doesn't have the option to change the color scheme to "Dark Theme" like the Remote Control Collection App (v2.0.3.22) does. Can we expect this in a future update? :)

I have a tablet Acer and a Motorola Moto G. I want to use the Moto G to control the tablet. Is that possible? How can I install the server on the Android tablet?

1- The mouse jumps in any direction while moving fast.
2- Srolling is very hard as it jumps up and down. I have to scroll very slowly in order to move.

Hello Remote Control Team,

it would be a very nice feature if the app supports the click feature in the Slideshow. To be exact, the issue could be solved by allowing the "Laser Pointer" clicks.

Why? Because then it's easy to launch Buttons, Gifs or Videos directly out of the slideshow. For now you have switch to the mouse mode to get the things started and then switch back again for continuing the sliding.

My Windows XP PC tells me that the server failed to start. I get error (0xc0000135).

To fix this, set your display item size to 100%. You can find the setting here:
Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display

This is a bug in Microsoft's .Net framework that can't be fixed by the server.

Is there any estimate of when the server will work on Linux? On the server page it says »soon«, would be cool to know if it’s something really planned and being worked on. :)
