About The Project

This is my very personal devcontainer template for vscode. I have created this template to help me get started with vscode devcontainer. In particular, I am using DinD and tools like Minikube and Kind For a full list of tools look at What this template provides?

Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • cookiecutter
  • Docker
  • VSCode

Installation

  • cookiecutter ==> $ pip3 install cookiecutter
  • Docker ==> $ sudo apt-get install docker.io
  • VSCode ==> $ sudo apt-get install vscode

Usage

  • $ cookiecutter gh:stiliajohny/cookiecutter-vscode-devcontainer-dind-devbox
  • Open the VS Code folder and Reopen in Container

What this template provides?

Initialize a new folder with:

  • devcontainer.json with all the settings
  • Dockerfile with prerequisites
  • Dockerfile library-scripts folders
  • Dockerfile scripts folder
