apptousb-50x's Issues

usb1 instead of usb0

For some reason my (refurbished) PS4 detects my external HDD as usb1, while something else (i don't know what though) as usb0 - as seen on the images provided with FTP.
Therefore, packages are transferred (even partially) to this non-existent usb0 instead of usb1.
In addition, apptousb.bin creates a apptousb into usb0/PS4 by itself, but since it's not a real usb, it fails in transferring packages.
Yes, I tried swapping usb port but this hasn't helped.
Any solution? Maybe just changing usb0 to usb1 in the code and then compile it again into .bin would help.
Thanks

God of war & some dlcs

god of war remains in the external hdd after running the exploit, also some dlcs"MvC infinite".

Kind of dumbfounded about SymLink implementation

Since I have no clue how send an email to a GITHub-user, I'll do it as an issue.

The way the SymLinks are implemented the PKGs moved to USB will still be reported as being on internal drive.

I.o.w. if you install 500 GB on a 500 GB internal drive and then move 500 GB to external 2TB drive, the PS4 will still report drive is full! You can no longer do anything (if you're lucky) until you delete apps to make room for new installments. This should not be the case with "normal" SymLinks.

There's now also is a "possibility", due to a paradox (PS4 reports drive is full, but drive reports it's not full, at least with WD and Seagate drives) it will start writing data from track #0 and up. which will eventually crash the system, due to overwriting existing data, and you will no longer be able to boot the PS4, until you treat the drive as a new one and reformat, loosing all data. Again, i'm not sure how the PS4 will handle this paradox (I know Windows can't, but that's MS).

For now, people are better of transferring files the normal way (as of OFW 4.50), which works perfectly fine for fPKG Apps (at least when HEN is started) with full speed instead of via slow FTP client. You can also use the PS4 file manager. The con: you can no longer connect the drive to PC (so, you basically need 2 external drives if you want to install fPKSs).

As a side note: I totally forgot to check whether the usb drive (PS4 exfat formatted) is excessable/readable via ftp.

bin2js

compiled on ubuntu but doesn't seem have command to use it

bug whis deleted pkg and disable meta

Hello Stooged, can you make an update of you're great payload for fix two issue if you have some times ?
Thanks

first issue:
if you uncomment (DISABLE_META) it copies some of the icons correctly but most of them will be (0Kb PNG icons) meaning it destroys the icon and pic of the game on the "XMB"

second issue:
After you delete pkg from "XMB", when you re lunch apptousb after installing new content he always copy empty folder and xxx.pkg was deleted before (0kb pkg)

[Feature request] Dynamic usb device

Hello, awesome work with App2Usb.

I'd like to request a feature to let the user choose the target drive, configurable via the .ini file.

I have a bootable drive with two partitions, and App2Usb is using the wrong one (EFI which is usb0) to put stuff.

I have FTP'd my PS4 and the correct path, for my drive, will be usb1 instead of usb0.

Thanks you

Game update (patch.pkg) still in internal hdd

First I installed the main game pkg and the update pkg (Assassin's Creed Origins update 1.41 - CUSA05625) by Debug menu,
I then unplugged the external hdd from ps4 and plugged in PC, then cut both pkgs to PS4/CUSA05625/ folder, and renamed them to app.pkg and patch.pkg,
Finally I plugged external hdd back to PS4 and run AppToUsb. After that I ftp to recheck and find out that the patch.pkg in /user/patch is still there with full size.

May you have time to check this ?

Suggestion

I know this not supposed to be ask here, but stooged can you make a payload accessing recovery/safe mode? Is it possible?

[Feature Request] Allow to change PKG location from /PS4/CUSAXXXXX/ to root

By putting the PKG location at root, the Settings -> Debug Settings -> Game -> Package Installer option can detect it. This allows to easily transfer external games back to internal.

This is useful for when one has to unplug their external HDD to be used elsewhere, but still want to keep playing certain games in the PS4.

If this feature is not possible, then how about creating a root symlink wihin the external HDD that points to /PS4/CUSAXXXXX/app.pkg?

6.72 not working

Hello

Using the darkside jailbreak, the apps2usb is not working. It shows its moving files but doesn't move anything. Only thing it moved out of 50+ games was the spider man game thats it.
