This is really a good extension, i've used it for over 1 year, just one small issue here which bothers me a long time, the icon shown in address bar seems strange, it's like some color is missing, I don't know how to upload screenshot here, if you are interested in fixing this problem, just send me an email, i'll attach with my screenshot.

The default keboard shortcuts are silly since they are already used by chrome for other things. Ctrl shift + P opens printing, Ctrl shift + D opens downloads etc. So the shortcuts don't work for me, and change colours doesn't seem to be listed when I open the chrome extensions keyboard shortcuts page.

Does anyone else have this issue? How are people avoid conflicts with keyboard shortcuts and is there a way to change the default? thanks

Is it possible to remove the text-shadow from fonts. The readability really degrades when the css attribute text-shadow is set.

I want to [read this page]((http://nehe.gamedev.net/article/glsl_an_introduction/25007/), which had a black background before. Now the code windows are illegible. Attached are some screens that might assist.

Nice extension btw. Works nicely on our custom built helpdesk domain (with no visited/unvisited css integration - go figure). I've tried a few approaches to "reset" the link colors, such as turning off the override and turning it back on again to no avail. Is it possible to reset the visted/unvisited link colors?

It works great for me. It's really nice to be able to set preferences by page/domain/globally.
One feature I would like to ask is the ability for a separate control of background/text and links/visited. This is because in some domains, when I customize the colors for links/visited, it also overrides the original colors of background/text, which causes problems such as making the colors of background and icons the same. Because of these problems, I wish I would be able to keep the colors of background/text as original while customizing those of links/visited.

I would like to make a feature request (or ask how to use a feature , if this already exists ).

If I am reading a PDF using chrome browser as the reader, I would like to know how to change the page colour, behind the text.
Is this currently possible, and if not, is it a feature you might consider implementing?

(I don't mean the side-bar colours , outside of the PDF viewing area : I mean the colour of the page, directly behind the text).

the edge release can't work in chrome 67.

It would be nice to add an option to control the color of the scrollbar. When I am reading a big text on black background, the bright scrollbar distracts me. I could change the scrollbar color by applying a dark theme, but it seems to be an overkill.

My quick and dirty solution for now is to add these lines to buildCssToInject:
css += '::-webkit-scrollbar{background: black ;}'
css += '::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb{background : someothercolor;}'

When I change the settings of Change-Colors I don't see a 'save' button. Closing the preferences page makes the changes stick, but when I restart Chrome, it forgot all settings. Is there any other way to set the preferences and make them stick?

Recently started using this extension for Chrome. I have only used it on Facebook so far and I have noticed that images won't load at full size while the extension is active on that site. Also, many buttons, especially hover-over buttons, do not appear.

A similar extension Custom Colors has the feature of applying the overrides on browser pages like "view:source, images, etc.". It would be great if Change-Colors also supported this.

Sorry, this is not an issue, but I have no other potential method of contacting the developer. I use this awesome extension daily. I get headaches looking at white backgrounds on my monitor and this thing had been linked to dozens of domains that I visit on a daily/weekly basis. It's now been removed from my chrome installation and it's gone from the web store, so I can't reinstall it through there. Is yhis permanent? Are you going to develop a new version?

Failing that, can you recommend another extension that will do the same thing? All the others I've found so far just dim the screen, or apply the affect to every open tab in a window. This thing actually forces what seems like a theme change to pages. I can't emphasize enough how much this improves my browsing experience.

I was looking for a way to only change the visited link color, and this seems to do that well. BUT, that's the only function I want to change. Is there a way to do that? It seems like you have to do all or nothing. If I turn off "Use web page colors" then I can't have it change the color of the visited links. But on most pages with "use web page colors" turned on, it deletes the entire backgrounds and does some screwy things.

This extension does not do anything in my browser. The Adjust Your Preferences page shows the correct background color/ text, but all websites remain unchanged. Also, the keyboard shortcuts do not work....
Current Page Override/Remove-Override: Ctrl + Shift + P >> controls printer
Domain Override/Remove-Override: Ctrl + Shift + D >>>> controls bookmarks
Global Override/Remove-Ovveride: Ctrl + Shift + G >>>> nothing

Change Colors doesn't work with locally downloaded pages. I use wget for prefetching the web before traveling, and I also keep local copies of things like the Java API for snappiness.

It'd be great to be able to apply these settings to all my local webpages. I suppose I could throw up a webserver at localhost as a workaround.

Running on Windows 10, 64-bit, latest Chrome browser Version 57.0.2987.98 (same error on 56.x also)
When I use Replacement Font drop-down list it does not display all fonts installed in C:\Windows\Fonts.
For example, Segoe UI is not present. Many others also missing.

I am also unable to add any fonts, I get error "Sorry, font not detected".
I tried c:\windows\fonts\segoeui.ttf and also copied font to c:\temp and tried to add from there, same error.
At least please add Segoe UI latin font to the list of replacement fonts.

Please advise.

I'm the kind of guy who likes to change colors all the time, so would it be possible to save different color profiles/themes as I would in Windows personalize?

As it is, Change Colors can't distinguish between:

Additionally, being able to view/edit the list of rules in the Options after the fact would be very nice.

You cannot find this extension when searching the webstore for it directly. You must use google to find the extension in the webstore.

I love this extension and I hope others can find it and love it, too.

Although useful, I think the image and flash blockers bloat this extension. Stick to the KISS Principle: there are other extensions that provide this functionality.

Youtube video pages are getting covered with odd characters/graphics, only when this plugin is active (when page/site/globally overridden, chracters disappear- see attached screenshots).

Using Chrome 46 (up-to-date, though has been an issue since about v43? few months or so), Windows 10. Extension v2.144 from Chrome web store.

Have removed and readded the extension, disabled all other extensions, cleared all data, even reset chrome and wiped appdata/programdata.

When check "All override on all pages" option, I think "Not apply override this domain" option is very useful.

As web page is usually bright for me, I check "All override on all pages". However, there are some pages with a good design. When view such pages, I use short cut key "Ctrl + Shift + G" now. If there is "Not apply override this domain" option in this extension, it is more cool!

Sorry , just a question, could this extension be ported to firefox ?

I often look at GIF images but when I do the extension makes the background black making the text on the image difficult to read. For example: http://courses.physics.illinois.edu/phys211/practice/viewphoto.asp?exam1/fa10/fig24.gif

That image viewed while the extension is on is difficult to read when the background is black. My solution to this problem would be to make it so that the user can specify to disable change colors for certain strings in the url, for example, disable change colors for urls containing the string "gif." Or ending in ".gif"

I use your extension to make pages as dark as possible. I suffer from migraines which cause photophobia (increased sensitivity to light). When loading a page which hasn't been loaded during the present session, there is a brief flash of white screen. This causes a lot of pain.

Would it be possible to change the white to your selected background colour?
