Hi Adrian,
SE already got these features... via some shortcuts (I'm not sure it works
with tags though)
Best regards
Nikolaj

Hello. I'm currently trying to improve these two features:
- Move last word down to next subtitle
- Move first word from next subtitle up
I'm going to make them work with tags (, {\anX}) and with "...", OK?
These are very useful features available in very expensive programs, so
it's great that SE has got them.I'll let you know when I'm ready. Kind regards,

Precisely, Nikolaj. That's why I said "improve" those features. They don't work with tags. :-) I'm working on your code, not adding new features.
I've been talking to some translators/subtitlers (talking in the old fashioned way: IN PERSON), and they DO use those two features but wondered if they could be improved.
I also suspect many people don't use them because they don't know they are available.
I'm the one who improved the SoftNi export, in case you don't remember me.
Kind regards,

cool :)
Just to be sure.I also suspect many people don't use them because they don't know they are

Yeah, I think so too, but it is pretty new. Actually many ppl I email with
don't know about the shortcuts at all.I'm the one who improved the SoftNi export, in case you don't remember me.
I do get a lot of emails, but I sure do remember you ;)
Only 2-3 persons have ever commented on code...

I did a pull requested with the code. No idea if that was right.
I've been testing the code pretty intensively with real cases and it seems to be working very well. It works with position tags, style tags and "...".
Regarding the shortcuts, EZtitles has some icons, like this:
I'll try to think of a design to show icons of the most used functions near the textbox, OK?

I came up with these two designs. The idea is to have some useful functions as icons near the Text box, so that it is not necessary to remember every shortcut.
Also, the characters per line are shown next to each line, which seems easier to read. I removed some labels, for example "text" or other labels which might be considered "obvious" in a subtitling program. I changed buttons to icons as they need less space (the text could be show as tooltips).
Please feel free to criticize. I'll be happy to hear your thoughts, or anyone else's.

As an example, these are Softni's and Spot's toolbars:
