the schema for the communication with the api is getting out of hand and needs refactoring urgently

pages that don't exist are attempted to load and eventually fail.

on initial load and reload the welcome page is being loaded twice by the faffy's animated pages component, there is no reason to wait for it to load twice, once is enough, log the page loads to see it.

The tap to zoom and double tap to zoom have been purposely disabled rending anyone with sight issues unable to use the web app, this comes with a perfomance penalty.

Maybe we can provide a way for them to be enabled in the future?

allot of the components we are using are being upgraded to polymer 3 and as we are still using polymer 2 the upgrades are not in out favour, we should start to gradually upgrade

There are many places where data is bound in 2 directions and is only needed in one direction

the default creation of an account inc the avatar needs a complete tidy up, remnants are being left behind when an account is deleted and the avatar is being fetched from multiple places

On the index page a default avatar is set from disk, we should look to write a component to deal with avatars and use it in all places

I get the feeling we don't use any of these but the site still loads them, can we stop them from being loaded or do you need them?

There are a number of places .bind is used when its not needed, these needs removing

remove lazy-import or include the behaviour one without the other does nothing
