hi @fxfactorial, I just jumped to the scratch
buffer and dropped 10 for
statements. Sending whole buffer to the REPL
does seem to work for me. Any steps to reproduce, maybe you can create a gist
with an example of truncated buffer?
About second issue, I believe it's more of the Swift
issue, if you will try to enter Allman style code from the CLI
you will get the same error. While it's possible to reformat the code before sending to the REPL
, I'm not sure if it's a good idea.

Regarding 1: I think its because the swift repl echoes back, so for example doing:
yields this in the repl buffer:
where 318, 319, etc seems superfluous.
In any case, I now think this isn't exactly swift-mode's problem.

I see what you mean, that's a bit annoying. I wonder if it's a comint
limitation. I checked inf-ruby
and it does the same thing for multiline statements. I'll investigate when I have some time, but not sure if I can fix this.

You can try to work around this with an elaborate comint output filter, but it's probably not worth it.
