Monitoring Backuppc with Zabbix

This is based on script found in thread https://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17273

Tested with Zabbix 2.4 (http://www.zabbix.com/) and Backuppc v3 (http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/).

Install

Add a line from 'sudo' file to your sudo config
copy 'zabbix-backuppc.pl' and 'zabbix-discover-backuppc.pl' to '/usr/local/bin'
make it executable with backuppc user
You need to have 'EnableRemoteCommands=1' in Zabbix agent config
Import 'backuppc_zbx_export_templates.xml' into Zabbix and configure it

Problems running the scripts ....

Hi I have installed the *.pl scripts as per instructions though when I try to run
[root@server bin]# sudo -u backuppc ./zabbix-backuppc.pl
Undefined subroutine &main::CheckPermission called at ./zabbix-backuppc.pl line 317.

Checpermission is part of Lib.pm ... so why am I having this problem?

Hi,

i'm trying your script but everytime get "Value should be a JSON object."
The script is in another folder because i have others script and visudo configured.

Server versione 3.0

I'm throught a proxy 3.0.2 and an agent 3.0.2
Basic script zabbix-backuppc.pl work correctly

Hi your script is awsome but i can't use... the zabbix can get information

Hey, i'm forcing issue with your backuppc template. I tried to solve it but i have no idea what wrong.
I did everything from istruction, and discovery seems to work it found my 2 hosts from backuppc, but thats all, i dont have any data.
