CCStopper should redirect to 0.0.0.0 instead of 127.0.0.1
Better to block a host to 0.0.0.0 than to 127.0.0.1? - Super User
This behavior is different from Linux which maps 0.0.0.0 to all localhost addresses (or something like that).
The acrobatfix script is not working for me.... Acrobat DC is still asking to log in

Everytime i open the CCStopper app, it launches two cmd windows before immediately closing. This has been happening across multiple installations, with the script being launched in administrator.
For the CCStopper window to stay open so i can use the scripts as intended.
v1.2.0
Windows 10 22H2
If I download CCStopper-main.zip from the main page (Code -> Download ZIP), Windows Defender goes off and deletes the file before I can try to do anything with it, stating the following:
Detected: Trojan:Script/Wacatac.H!ml
containerfile: CCStopper-main.zip
file: CCStopper-main.zip->CCStopper-main/web/Installer.ps1
webfile: CCStopper-main.zip|about:internet|pid:16836,ProcessStart:133362552658945170
However, if I download CCStopper.zip v1.2.3-hotfix.1 (current latest) from the releases page, there aren't any issues whatsoever and the experience is smooth and pleasant.
I would expect that the download from the main page would be the latest, maybe I'm just not familiar with how GitHub works.
Either way, I am not happy that there is a virus detected in the one file. The other one worked as expected with zero virus alerts... a much better experience.
Thank you to the devs for making such an awesome program! I don't mean to come across as negative in any way, just wanting to share my experience.

Not really a bug, but it just ticks me off.
52.22.41.97 and 18.213.11.84 are both there twice.

Hi, The credit card bypass isn't working even after I turned off my antivirus, Please fix this.
Thank You.
The latest version was downloaded, but it isn't ending the process. Ran as admin.

Since the Adobe background tasks keep coming back, I would like to run the .bat file at startup with Task Scheduler. Is that possible?

A script to disable auto-updating in CC and Acrobat.
It was re-enabled when I last updated both, so instead of going to check in the menus, it'd be easier to just run a script.
Hopefully, simply by changing a true
to a false
in a couple of configuration files. I tried to locate them (in AppData, ProgramData and registry) but wasn't able to find where they're stored.
The Unlicensed Adobe App popup still continues in some apps; mainly Illustrator and sometimes Photoshop. It looks something like this:
When Illustrator is blocked completely in the windows defender firewall, this gets disabled. However, I can not access cloud files then.
The Unlicensed app window should never show. I understand this may not be a CCStopper issue, but CCStopper seems to fix this on other apps such as Photoshop, as aforementioned.
1.2.0-Hotfix.1
Windows 11 22H2
First few times opening the program, it operated as expected however didn't work to allow access to the cloud even though all steps were followed. Now when I try to use it, pressing the numbers to select each action simply moves the cursor through the whole screen and does nothing. Preessing Q works to exit the program and it seems to register the numbers but doesn't leave the home screen.

Stopping the Adobe processes works fine, but Bitdefender Antivirus blocks some things when using it.
I've added the whole folder as an exception and even the individual bat scripts. You think there would be any way to resolve this without having to whitelist the windows mshta.exe itself? Attached two screenshots below.
The scripts should be able to run and finish executing.

As soon as I run the batch file it asks for admin privileges, opens a few windows really fast, then closes. I've tried running every script individually, enabling allow powershell scripts rule, turning defender on and off, moving files to C: drive, enabling everything in TEMP and ccstopper folders, but nothing works. Sorry for making another duplicate thread but I've been ripping my hair out with this problem the past few days and nothing said in those other threads have helped whatsoever.

https://postimg.cc/K3hzLKQV image of whats happening. ccstopper will state everything went fine right after when i don't think thats the case.
I've used CCStopper before and things went great. But tonight for some reason I am no longer able to patch host file for some reason. It's being denied. It worked before, I'm not sure what changed.
EDIT: This is happening after I agree (press 1) to grant access to write host file.
CCStopper - Access to write host file
1.22. hotfix 1

When i start the batch file, it shows a quick black screen with few lines saying the same phrase:
"The system cannot find the file specified
The system cannot find the file specified
The system cannot find the file specified
The system cannot find the file specified"
after that the CCStopper main screen shows up and when i choose any command nothing happens.
What should i do??

Whenever I do option 2, Remove Genuine Checker. Another cmd flashes for a second before closing. By taking a screen recording, I was able to see what the 2nd instance of cmd says:
It's a fresh install of Adobe Creative Cloud, so I don't think the issue is on that end.
Apologies if I've just done something wrong, I'm new to the world of editing adobe files that I have 100% legally purchased
CCStopper stopped working. When I run it and choose the options that are needed, and then try to install Photoshop, it still won't work.

I use a few adobe programs via GenP and suddenly am getting the popups that it's not genuine software. No normal genP fixes work and was directed here - not really familiar with scripts and codes so sorry if this is a noob question but couldn't find this error in the logs
When I run CCStopper.bat and then try to run AGSKill I get this error. The zip file is extracted and that's what I'm using the files from. Other options don't seem to really do anything. Not sure what to do.
I opened CCSTOPPER v1.2.3-hotfix.2 > [3] System Patches \ [1] Creative Cloud App
because it asks me to put credit card information in for downloading an app.
When I start Creative Cloud Desktop, it shows that it's initializing creative cloud. After a while, it crashes and wants to re-install itself.
Creative Cloud starts up normally and allows me to download its apps.

Hi! Thanks for your work! It works well and is easy to use.
Recently, I've used this tutorial https://www.reddit.com/r/GenP/wiki/redditgenpguides/#wiki_.25BA_guide_.238_-_blocking_unnecessary_adobe_background_processes.28ps.2Fdc.29 to completely deactivate a few adobe processes which still ran automatically at startup. Would it be possible to add this to CCStopper?
I see that this was previously implemented last year #29 but it seems like this script has now disappeared from the repo. Was there a problem with it?
Add a .bak
to the name of the following files (and allow to reverse it).
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Sync\CoreSync\CoreSync.exe
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud Experience\CCXProcess.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Creative Cloud Libraries\CCLibrary.exe
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\AdobeCollabSync.exe
The following file is needed for CC update so we'd need another solution.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\ADS\Adobe Desktop Service.exe
There was an option to add firewall rules to block inbound/outbound rules for Adobe apps in previous version, but it was not in v1.2.3.
Option to add firewall rules to block inbound/outbound rules for Adobe apps.
1.2.3 hotfix1
Windows 2H22
Whenever I have CCStopper Running and do options 2, then 1, I get this error and I honestly have no idea what could be causing it. I allowed CCStopper in outbound rules but there isn't anything for it in inbound rules so I don't know if that's supposed to be how it is within windows firewall. I am running the batch file as an admin and I have creative cloud already installed along with a few adobe apps. I did try to see if it would still work but it just prompts me to start my free trial.
I'd like to figure out why it won't work and how to make it so it is allowed to work properly.
v1.2.2
Win 11
This only applies to the online version, not the installed/downloaded version. Regardless of if the hosts file is populated with an older list of hosts than the current one or if it's up-to-date, CCStopper (online) will only prompt to remove all hosts entries.
Hosts patch should give option to update hosts file when it is out-of-sync with the entries in this repo.

When I try to patch Creative Cloud, it just says that it's corrupt and needs to reinstall it.
Already reinstalled it using Adobe's CC Cleaner Tool.

CCStopper.bat buttons are not functional. The PowerShell command "set-executionpolicy remotesigned" was run prior to see if it would fix, unfortunately not though. If the PowerShell script is run directly in PowerShell it will close all the processes. I'm wondering it might be an issue with Windows 11 or just simply no longer works.
End Adobe Processes Button: Non-functional
Remove AGS Button: reload the cmd window but is Non-functional
Patch Acrobat Button: appears to function
Github Repo Button: Fully functional
Exit Button: Fully functional
Windows Build: 22000.556 Windows 11 Pro.
User Account is an administrator on the machine.
If CCStopper.bat is run as admin the cmd windows flickers very rapidly saying 'button' is not recognized.
Are there any other workarounds to having the buttons become functional or sol?
When I tried to run it CCStopper's Credit Card Prompt Fix, it ran but didn't actually fix anything Paywall
I ran Stop Adobe Processes beforehand which seemed to run fine but nothing changed in Adobe CC
HostBlock.ps1 fails to work when hosts file already has lines of rules from added by https://github.com/ScriptTiger/Unified-Hosts-AutoUpdate
hosts file to be updated with the rules
v1.2.1
No response
The current way of calling the scripts from the scripts subfolder does not work if the main Batch-file is executed from somewhere else than the directory the scripts subfolder is in. It would probably be easiest to cd to the directory where the main BAT lies at the beginning of the script.
I already use unchecky and https://github.com/ScriptTiger/Unified-Hosts-AutoUpdate which adds quite a lot of lines to the hosts file
CCStopper returns error and won't append the rules to the file
also, InternetBlock.bat closes itself when the hosts file is read only
Installed via PowerShell, ran with "unrestricted", with administrator privilege and with antivirus turned off. This is the result:
As I had old entries in hosts file, I expected ccstopper to delete the old entries and insert the new/updated ones.
