Usage

It's few lines to enable in-place edit. Do not forget to set userInteractionEnabled to YES. Otherwise it will not work.

#import "UILabel+InPlaceEdit.h"

label.userInteractionEnabled = YES;
[label ipe_enableInPlaceEdit:[KIInPlaceEditOptions longPressAndPromptToEdit]];

There are some preset options.

// KIInPlaceEditOptions.h

Available options are

@property BOOL showPrompt; // Default NO. Whether to show prompt before start in-place editing.
@property NSString *promptLabel; // Default "Edit"
@property KIInPlaceEditGesture gesture; // Currently only LongPress is provided.

You can provide your options as following.

KIInPlaceEditOptions *options = [[KIInPlaceEditOptions alloc] init];
options.showPrompt = YES;
options.promptLabel = "You want to edit?";
label.userInteractionEnabled = YES;
[label ipe_enableInPlaceEdit:options];

UIControl Events

You can receive UIControl events by setting options as following.

KIInPlaceEditOptions *options = [KIInPlaceEditOptions longPressAndPromptToEdit];
[options setTarget:self action:@selector(didEndInPlaceEdit:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventEditingDidEnd];
label.userInteractionEnabled = YES;
[label ipe_enableInPlaceEdit:options];

// ...

- (void)didEndInPlaceEdit:(id)sender {
