Layout issues (Nathan's branch)

WHAT WE DO

  • Delete extra/random
before the first paragraph ("At TAMUhack, ...")
  • Vertically align th graphic to What We Do paragraphs
  • Add margin-bottom 20px to h1 (what we do title)
  • Change paragraph text to font-weight: 300 (except for "Hack" in hackathon... p, change font-weight: 500
  • Change button/a border-radius from 8px to 4pxx
  • Add Visit HowdyHack 2019 button on hover: background-color: #2E4D68
  • Add Visit TAMUhack 2019 button on hover: background-color: #D47082
  • Delete "In addition to hackathons," in Workshops description, change to "We also host workshops each semester to help you learn the latest tech"

PAST ITERATIONS

  • Make cards look like moo repo (including border radius, box-shadow, font size, etc)
  • Follow sizing of circles & thickness of line in moo repo

THE TAMUHACK TEAM

  • Delete extra space after electrical
  • Reduce column width by about 10/20px
  • Increase line spacing of paragraph by 3px
  • Bottom of pictures don't have same border radius as the top of pictures
  • Increase size of GitHub & LinkedIn icons by 2px - 4px (height & width)
  • Reduce bottom margin of photos by 5px
  • Reduce padding between body content and footer
  • Switch Cameron & Gabriel
  • Switch Aryan & Maggie von Ebers
  • Delete T. in Derek's name
  • Switch Reuben & Meghana
  • Second column order should be: Suvedh, Addison, Ledet, Humza, Roesha

FOOTER

  • Make collaborate, sponsor, email + social media icons vertically aligned with tamuhack
  • Add smooth scrolling animation when clicking on different links (tamuhack icon in footer and all the nav bar buttons)

More layout fixes

Final touches?

  • There is a gap between the squiggly thing and What We Do on desktop, probably something to do with min-height
  • mid-pink-content > container needs a bit more padding on desktop, around 100px top and 60px bottom
  • mid-pink-content > columns, more padding would be nice 25px left and right
  • mid-pink-content > buttons, more padding on buttons for external links to fit with the other buttons on the page (change to padding: .5rem 1rem). Also, the Workshops button has a different border radius to the other two
  • Past Iterations: A bit more left and right padding on the boxes. Can we remove the borders on both the boxes and the arrows, and make the shadows slightly more centered and spread out. The bottom of the shadow for TAMUhack 2014 is cut off by the end of the div
  • The 'tamuhack' text in the footer does not display
  • Hover animations in the footer staggers

HH

  • Clicking the tamuhack button on top left should redirect you to hub page
  • HowdyHack and date should be blue
  • There should be some padding between the flag that appears when you enter incorrect emails and the form entry field

nav bar

  • Make "navitems" vertically aligned with "navlogo" (pink line can be lower)
  • Change "help" svg to proper TAMUhack logo (ask Grace for file)
  • Add to "navitems" hover 0.3s transition time for underline
  • Make "navitems" clickable/linked to top of web page
  • Increase navbar padding by about 8px top and bottom
  • Make left margin space aligned with right margin space (margin space b/w left edge and th logo vs margin space b/w right edge and "our community")

Update Top portion of site

Remove pink background behind text, shorten the intro blurb, add separating lines between HH, TH, and Workshop buttons

Make workshop page cards white

Currently they're pink, also make sure card truncates (add view details, hide details) if the description is too long

Remove live content from websites

Landing page: remove howdyhack is live button
/hh: Comment out event info sections (important links, location, prizes); change content/links on landing to "Thanks for coming out to HowdyHack 2019! Join the Facebook group as we will be posting event photos.

Moar UI fixes

WHAT WE DO

  • p class="lead emphasize" change font-weight to 500
  • p class="lead" & p class="custom-p-text" (just all p in your best judgment) change font-size to 16px, line-height: 30px;
  • Redirect Visit TAMUhack 2019 to last year's website (ask @AmanGotchu about it)

PAST ITERATIONS

  • Make timeline bar thinner (width: 12px)
  • Make timeline markers smaller (max/min width/height: 42px) (also have to change margins so the markers align with the bar)
  • Add drop shadow to triangle part (make it consistent with the rectangle part)

ON MOBILE

  • Reduce spacing between the Visit HowdyHack 2019 button & the th img (same for th button and workshop img)
  • Fix display: block for navs (see image below)

FAQ color scheme

Because of the way each card is organized in columns, when you resize to mobile, the colours don't go pink -> purple -> blue

On mobile it goes pink->purple (repeats for half); purple->blue (other half)

Add link to GitHub

Not entirely sure where on the page we should put this, but it'd be nice to have a reference to our GitHub so people can see the codebases too.

UI Bugs

Screen Shot 2019-06-17 at 6 04 57 PM

  • Fix weird occurrence on mobile with the timeline
  • Make footer less weird on mobile

On tamuhack.com/hh, when you hover over tamuhack in the nav, there's this weird black dash that appears

  • Fix that ^

Screen Shot 2019-06-17 at 6 07 11 PM

  • Fix the pink bar thing that Suvedh was talking about @eightants

Style issues on Edge

The infamous white gap is present on Edge and the 'tamuhack' text on the top left is weirdly large.
