If you go to the original page with the Emend jetpack installed, I get the notification correctly, but the correction isn't made to the page.

When submitting a new edit, the given URL must reply with a successful response, e.g., 200.

When I emend a URL that has a literal " character, I can make the edit and submit it to Emend, but Emend then crashes when trying to display the edit.

When submitting a new edit, the original and proposal must not be equal.

If a page has a relative URL in the rel=canonical tag, Emend lists the relative URL as-is and breaks on submit. For example:

http://schipul.com/bay-area-public-speaking/

Google indicates that relative URLs are acceptable; update Emend to either process them into full URLs, or ignore them if they can't be processed.

Expected that the edit should remain open, observed that it was automatically closed.

If an edit's proposal is a substring of the original, then the current test routine fails (false-positive).

This happens because it first checks if the proposal is on the page. If the page has not been fixed, then the original is still present, but the original contains the proposal, so the test passes.

The test routine should be modified to first check to see if the original text is still on the page, and then (if not) check if the suggested text is on the page.

Since this modification will fail when the both the original and proposed text are on the page (such as when the original is replicated in a comment), it should only use this new method when the proposed is a substring of the original.
