jQuery extension - DOM.js: function byId is not effective

Instead of using the jQuery selector, the native selector would provide a higher performance in all possible cases.
A better version:

byId: function(sId, bBasicNode)
{
  var oNode = document.getElementById(sId);

  if(bBasicNode)
  {
    return oNode || null;
  }
  return $(oNode);
}
