c64-lumafix's Introduction

Hi there!

โšก I'm not an electronic engineer, I just couldn't afford real LEGOs so I play around with cheap modules, KiCAD and a soldering iron instead. I like designing PCBs of things I've seen, most of them I only build so that I would have one of them, the resulting files you'll find in the various repositories here. As for guarantees, there are none.

c64-lumafix's Issues

Licensing

Hi, I'm Matt from VideoGamePerfection.com. We're looking to start selling the LumaFix to our customers as part of our C64 refurbishment services. Can we use the schematics here to make boards up and do this? I would be happy to pay royalties to whomever owns the rights.

Thank you for your time.

Understanding the signal bypass - which parts are needed?

Hi,

I am terribly sorry for starting an issue, but there is one thing that I don't understand when working through your instructions.

I have a Rev.B board and want to use the signal bypass. Therefore I leave the CHR_SEP and LUM_SEP open. Understood.
Next you say that I have to connect pin 1 and 2 of the lower (nearest to the 74HCT14) potentiometer. Fine - done.

But what is next?
What about the three potentiometers, the capacitors and the 74HTC14? Do I have to populate thoose as well? You show a picture without any of thoose parts. But if I don't install the potentiometers (and the other stuff) the Lumafix can not possible "fix" anything and would just be a simpel way to get to the chroma and luma signals.

Some explanatory words would help me a lot.

Thank you for your work!
