Perception on .Net, is a web application framework that allows developers to quickly build database backed applications in .Net.
To develop in Perception you need to understand it's software architecure. We believe that enterprise software should be developed in the most secure and efficent way possible. As you will see, Perception was built with this principle in mind.
An Organization is exactly what it sounds like. This is the organization that you are building applications for. Users are the different levels of users that you will want to use your application. A Core is As a developer you can build multiple database backed Applications. A Stage is a container for all of the objects that your applications will have. These include GUI elements or any other objects that you want to track. A Grip is Object sets are Object Property sets are Object Property Option SetsWith Perception you can build your applications on Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases. We've used Perception to build applications for the US Military and decided to make it available to other entripise Microsoft developers. The platform comes with all of the libraries you need to build every aspect of your application. It's like Twitter bootstrap but for backend development.
Software Prerequisites
- Download Microsoft Visual Studio
- Download Oracle Express
- Download Github Desktop Client (If you don't want to download the client you can just use Github)
Steps to install Perception
- Launch Visual Studio
- Open the Perception Project in Visual Studio
- This is step 1 for installing Perception on your machine.
- This is step 2 for installing Perception on your machine.
