Retiring???

Hi,

I recently started playing Star Trek: Legends, and just found your site. I saw that you are retiring from the game, and looking to see if anyone wants to maintain the site. I am interested in maintaining the site, if you have time to give me some insight into how everything works.

I have a Mac, a Windows PC, and some tech know-how. I've worked in the IT field for about 15 years and have setup some very basic websites. I'm not much of a programmer though, most of my experience is with network engineering. I didn't even have an account on GitHub until today.

You can ping me on Discord. My username is Joe At Home#6064

Thanks,
Joe

Add summary of skill checks to the mission page

I hate getting partway through a mission and realizing I don't have the right class or am too underpowered to pass the skill checks. The details are in the individual nodes, but it's much more convenient to have it at the top with Suggested power and Rewards.

The info is available in data/episodes.json, it just needs to be pulled in. PR incoming with desired changes.

Allow download of json version of save file

This is not an issue, but a request. Sorry if it belongs elsewhere. I'm not very accustomed to GitHub.

In the Player Tools section, after dropping your save-game file, it would be nice if there was a way to download the JSON version of that file. (I'm assuming one is created before the data is displayed.) Perhaps I am among a very small group of people that would appreciate this. But I'm guessing that the JSON file contains all the data and not just what has been formatted for display. There is a lot I could do with a JSON file, whereas, despite my efforts, there is very little I can do with the original save-game file.

Interested in taking over

Hey! Thanks for setting this up - I'd be interested in taking over. Just discovered ST:Legends and am thoroughly enjoying it. What you've done is awesome - would love to update and expand

An idea for Player Tools on mobile

When you submit a support ticket, your game data is included in the email as a long string of text. The user could copy that text, discard the email, and paste it into the tool.

The problem is, I don't know what to do with that text. I tried some stuff to parse it, but it didn't work. I know the site, in general, is not yet mobile friendly, but hopefully it will be someday. And until then, if this worked, it would allow people without a Mac to use the Player Tools.
