It seems you guys moved away from Rails at some point and moved to just static HTML/CSS.

@Nooga Startups could really use a kickass avatar. Any ideas?

We need to improve documentation/create a FAQ. Calling all wordsmiths.

Posting a job can be improved by

• adding markdown support to the job description textarea
• categories for local & remote positions

I would love to update the grid to something more "standard". Happy to accept pull requests of any eager front-end devs

Nooga Startups is about to get a visual overhaul and some new features. This project wouldnt exist without community involvement, and we would like to continue that trend and open up the discussion for a v2.

Features

Some of the more requested features have been:

• An improved frontend
• Job board
• Profile page
• Dynamic functionality

We've just released our directory for Chattanooga developers (chattdevs.com) and I was thinking it would be cool to have a link to it on Nooga-Startups.

Having noogastartups hosted as a github page is great but there are several features we've talked about having that will require a database backend. Due to the expertise available in the community I propose that we create a rails app.

Initially let's just get the project created and get the logistics of where it's going to be hosted and how it's going to be configured taken care of.

The design calls for a full text search on the jobs table
