Volafile exposes a websocket API (engine.IO to be more specific) which makes interaction with it quite easy. I'm currently maintaining python-volapi. It covers everything you need for interacting with volafile rooms and getting files' download links. I wrote simple download script that utilizes wget2 as download program (works only on Unix-like systems so far). There is no documentation for python-volapi atm but most of the functions are commented. If you'd be interested in a rewrite, fell free to ask me for help.

Sometimes Volafile gets a little downtime, servers are restarting i think. This make this script crasch, should'nt there be a "self-restart" feature? If the server is down, the script waits for 3-4~ minutes and restart itself. I know zero coding, but i have tried to implement this on my own with while True, unfortunatly without success.
