[Feature Request] Themes

The addition of themes would be incredible useful for reducing redundant code across an entire project, while increasing consistency and reducing potential errors that may occur when tweaking the design of a user interface.

A theme would work by setting all of the default values within the UI builders, allowing for a single object to contain all of the theme information that other nodes inherit values from in order to ensure that all objects look uniform within the theme. Builders will still be able to manually override these default values in order to tweak the design for specific use cases within the user interface.

[Feature Request] Text Fields

The addition of fully functional text fields would be essential in the creation of the proper user interface library for Bevy.

Proper text field support should include the following features:

  • Typing
  • Backspace / Delete
  • Arrow Keys
  • Copy / Paste / Cut
  • Select Text
  • Multi-line Support
  • Password Obfuscation
  • Default Text
  • Character Limits
  • IME Support
