homeitdoorbellwifimodule's Issues

Device Identification Number

Each device needs to be assigned an identification number.

The device needs to be registered to the central server once the device is online for the first time.

Implement Authentication

This can be broken down into two:

  1. Authentication to access the local configuration page
  2. Authentication to access the server

WebSocket implementation

Instead of using Http, implement websocket.

Http should only be used to create a connection to the SignalR hub.

If possible find a SignalR client and implement it.

See below link for SignalR specs (useful for implementing a websocket connection to the SignalR hub.)
SignalR Specs

Following is a sample javascript that follows the specs mentioned above and can successfully make a websocket connection to a SignalR hub.

var webS;
fetch("http://localhost/chathub/negotiate", {method: "POST"})
    .then((d) => {return d.json();})
    .then((d) => {
        console.log(d);
        webS = new WebSocket("ws://localhost/chathub?id=" + d.connectionId);

        webS.onopen = function (event) {
            webS.send(JSON.stringify({
                "protocol": "json",
                "version": 1
            }) + String.fromCharCode(0x1E));
          };

          webS.onmessage = function(event) {
              console.log(event.data);
          }
    });

    webS.send(JSON.stringify({"arguments":["","hello again"],"invocationId":"1","target":"Send","type":1}) + String.fromCharCode(0x1E))
