stanforddaily-mobile's Issues

Query proper endpoints on WP REST API to get author page information

  1. design the structure for the endpoints
  2. actually make a network request call (just to these endpoints for now) which shows a loading animation, etc., then sets the state of a component once the data is loaded

here are the two endpoints we have right now:

authors list: http://stanforddaily2.staging.wpengine.com/wp-json/tsd_authors/v1/authorsList

authors detail: http://stanforddaily2.staging.wpengine.com/wp-json/tsd_authors/v1/author/1001001
however, it needs to have all these fields: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PvehUq-lnnr2e2qwpSUkUINNT5t2xk9LG2X7WIrTjjQ/edit?usp=drive_web&ouid=110692633144669507508

Documentation

  • Can you add documentation for each file's function

App store graphics

iOS

  • 1024x1024 size icon
  • screenshots on a 5.5" display, 5.8" display, 12.9" display

Android

  • 512x512 size icon
  • 1024x500 feature graphic
  • screenshot on android phone
  • screenshot on 7" android tablet

Android

Is the Android version functioning? If not, what is the android folder used for, and what will it take to get it functioning?

Author details page

  • Create two mockups for author details page, one with a big picture and one with a small picture. Send them to Inyoung so she can get feedback on them.

  • In screens/AuthorDetail.js, implement one of these screens as a component, using dummy data.

Here's Inyoung's mockup as an example to perhaps start with:
10 19 images 001

Android

Make the app work on Android.

Readme

Add a readme to document the locations of the important code files and their functions

Fetch & show all articles from the author

  • When clicking on an article, it should go to the actual page in the app, not the stanford daily website link.

  • Warning: each child in an array or iterator should have a unique "key" prop.

  • Have default images if images are not found

Move magazine site to main site

Steps:

  • Create a mockup of how the magazine category will look like on our main site
  • How will magazine posts look like on author pages?
  • Add a sidebar with featured magazine posts on the front page
  • Move all “magazine posts” on the site to regular “posts” with category “magazine”, so they begin showing up on the site
  • Delete our magazine site 🙂

Add authors page

Tab for authors/students to follow.
