Skipping some purescript code blocks when processing markdown. Is it a bug or the feature?

I've found a while ago that I'm able to preserve some purescript code blocks inside my markdown file and they are ignored during processing - it is enough to indent this sections of code (together with ``` prefixes).
I think that some form of this kind of escape hatch from literate purescript processing can be useful sometimes. I'm not sure if I should rely on this behavior and it is done by design?

Update to newer purescript?

I see 48 errors with purs 0.11.6, node 8.8.1. Is this library still maintained, and would PRs be received?
