The app should prompt you to make small notes (configurably). Perhaps a certain time daily or weekly, or on some other trigger (geofences?).

There should be a way to edit the metadata of a note.

• The time it's attached to, chronologically, in case you're importing from some other structure.
• Title?
• Weather
• Mood
• etc

Viewing notes chronologically, or only notes with specific tags attached, or only notes with otherwise specific metadata attached, should be possible, and it should be possible to save these as automatically-updated boards or filters.

Possibly in a calendar structure, or somehow integrable with extant calendar apps.

Notes should be pinnable, so they appear first (in at least one view). This should not interfere with viewing chronologically-most-recent notes, so perhaps limit the screen real estate of pinned notes, or else make it easy to access the chronological list. (Pinned notes should still appear in the chronological list, probably.)

It should be possible to save and retrieve notes.

Notes should be ordered reverse chronologically first.

It should be possible to make a note with a short snippet of text and nothing else attached. It should be possible to get from this to a more full-fledged edit interface quickly.
