os2cx's Issues

segfault using GUI on example SCAD

nathan@nathannew:/mnt/c/Users/nathan/Downloads/os2cx/gui$ ./OpenSCAD2CalculiX

then in the GUI I opened this file in this repo's root (openscad2calculix.scad), and then in the terminal I see:

Scanning OpenSCAD file...
Error in OpenSCAD file:
Please specify an os2cx_analysis_...() directive.
D3D12: Removing Device.
Segmentation fault

this is WSL running ubuntu:

uname -a
Linux nathannew 5.15.90.1-microsoft-standard-WSL2 #1 SMP Fri Jan 27 02:56:13 UTC 2023 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Please, move to the Calculix organization

Dear Tim,

I'm trying to develop CalculiX organization on the GitHub to unite all developers and tools in one place. So, please, could you move there your project?

All your permissions will be kept, so do not afraid. Old URL will be kept also, new URL will be github.com/calculix/os2cx.

In your project Settings go to Options -> Danger Zone -> Transfer ownership. Click on ‘Transfer’ button, then type ‘calculix’ as user.

Thank you in advance!

No ability to use console binary to calculate maximum deflection from shell scripts

Thanks for developing this awesome code to integrate OpenSCAD with Calculix. I was trying to replicate an old experiment by J. D. Stachiw with acrylic viewports, and wanted to perform calculations over a range of thicknesses and diameters, then capture all this into a CSV file for graphing and then compare with the actual real world measurements. https://github.com/waynepiekarski/openscad2calculix4stachiw

However, it seems like only the GUI is able to calculate and display the maximum deflection or any other values, but this requires the user to manually read the value. For automating in scripts, it needs to be in the console binary as well.

It seems like console support for printing out the deflection is not available. I copy and pasted a few things from the GUI code to make it work and have included a github commit below that contains this if anyone is interested in using it. But this might be something to add in a future version:
