homebridge-alarm-listener's Issues

Alarm Listener works fine after restart but stops working after around 24h

Hi,

I am running this on a Raspberry Pi with USB mic running homebridge. The feature works great and reliably detects alarms. However, I have to keep constantly restarting homebridge. After around 24h the alarm listener "stops listening". Any alarms after this time are not recognised.

If I then manually restart homebridge then it starts working again. Does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to have to restart homebridge manually every single day. I have checked the logs and there is nothing to suggest why it has stopped listening. I am already using a child bridge for everything.

@tkanarsky are you please able to suggest anything? Any help would be really appreciated!

My config is:
{
"name": "AlarmListener",
"frequency": 3145,
"tolerance": 100,
"threshold": 0.6,
"inertia": 5,
"mic_device": "plughw:CARD=Device,DEV=0",
"accessory": "HomebridgeAlarmListener",
"_bridge": {
"username": "0E:B5:22:3C:06:F2",
"port": 33971
}
}

Getting started questions

I purchased a cheap ($6) USB microphone to use for this project, however it seems like some set-up is required if you haven't used the microphone before. I am using the official Homebridge image on a Raspberry Pi 4. Any ideas how to set-up from fresh (other than the config)? I tried using the test function on my smoke alarm to trigger it a few times but there was no indication that this was working.

Accessory?

I have a mic and the plugin installed and set up, but there is no accessory showing in homebridge (hoobs). shouldn't there be an accessory that I can then see in the Home app?

Error after install
