SL (Steam Locomotive) runs across your terminal when you type "sl" as you meant to type "ls".; patched long version
This is basically a patched version of https://github.com/mtoyoda/sl which compiles on Ubuntu. Was not written by me, but adapted from the sl-patched package for archlinux available here.
- install libcurses library (package libncurses5-dev on debian and ubuntu)
- make
- sudo make install
tested on Ubuntu, archlinux and debian
