Make trigger explicitly "not_home" instead of just not "home".
Investigating, probably will require Alexa Skill coding
In 2022.4, a lot of entities were given the ability to be set up in the UI instead of YAML. This is something I'd like to do where feasible, because it's a more seamless approach.
I feel as though some things could stand to be explained better, so I really should make a wiki and/or a quick reference document of some sort with which to do so.
This could be quite useful for restoring previous states after a temporary condition is completed
Fuck knows why...
Current behavior is a bit wonky with regard to when lights turn on or off.
For sending text notifications to phones, TV screens, etc
The security yaml I started from had some useful input helpers that I forgot to use.
Still not getting the events to fire when they should. Input boolean condition claims to be failing when it should pass.
Works when called via the Lovelace UI, but does nothing when called by Alexa.
Needs to be aware when triggered as well as other places
Edit readme with names/links to custom components and any other relevant information. Mostly to keep myself from forgetting things, but could be useful to others as well.
Need to just make sure they're involved in all automations/flows/scripts where they could potentially matter.

If weather is cloudy, lights on when arriving home.
Learning more about the power consumption of various devices in my house.
Need a couple buttons to easily change scheduling for when the schools decide to cause havoc
My usage of the Android TV integration needs some work...as well as I'd like to automate things like lighting without having to actually do anything, just when the TV is detected as playing something.
Been working on this for a while actually. Need to measure walls before any coding can really progress.
Would like announcements and briefings to not play in the basement when I am streaming on Twitch.
I have two children now. I did not consider this when writing some of my code.
It seems unable to detect when she has work the next day for some reason.
Make it so that if brightness is adjusted manually, adaptive lighting disables itself.
Just need to make sure all related automations and sensors are switched over for the job switch and runs smoothly.
Because then we could make League do stuff with the lights!
Need to do some better sorting of which entities get tracked by which databases
The official Tuya integration sucks. So we're gonna (try to) migrate to the tuyalocal custom component instead.
Need to investigate...used to work, now doesn't...I've changed nothing in between.
Would make things considerably easier in some cases, especially for convenient operation of various devices around the house.
I'm guessing the Gasbuddy page layout was updated/changed and thus the element we were scraping needs adjusted.
This would make it easier for the family to check what I am working on when they have reported bugs or new ideas via my report system.
Would also like to maybe sync this with Github issues, but unsure if that is possible.
Otherwise some will be state "unavailable" and others won't do anything.
Don't wanna have to remember to manually set times on those days.
Just useful notifications about what is happening around the house, since we have a lot more automations now
It's pretty basic at the moment and doesn't detect status entirely accurately.
Should just be a matter of changing a variable
Not getting anything on my weather page anymore, and I suspect TTS alerts are down as well.
Possible new method of notification delivery
Improve detection of what is actually a delivery
They did, and then they didn't.
Getting pretty old having to make sure nothing was left in the wrong state after a freeze (missed automations to change them, etc)
Need a custom skill for local control
Already have some of this done, just need to figure out what else to put in it
Right now it doesn't handle that very well, and only handles the first instance
Would like to do this via Todoist API, just have to learn how.
Seems like it could provide a useful gauge of actual outdoor comfort.
It seems that if motion is still detected when the initial 5 minute timer expires, the loop to the 30 second timer does not work.
Calendars sometimes do not get updated in a timely manner and this prevents scheduling automations from giving accurate times.
A more general nightly briefing for the entire household, to most likely play in the late evening.
