(I don't know if I am putting this in a good place)
I cannot iterate over files while I use ls or ls -l to list files. I have tried prefix + C-f and prefix + C-g.

Hi @pmalek, yep - this is a good place to request that. This feature is considered to be an "enhancement".
I'm a bit lazy to implement this because I personally wouldn't use it. Whenever I'm dealing with ls or ls -l output it's faster for me to just Tab complete things.
