Hi I've done everything what you have written, but when I run the gearshift.exe it creates a document gearshift, and there is nothing assigned, and if I run the program and then the game there is nothing ticked

It seams there is problem enumerating game devices. Get_name(_j) gives s fault - invalid utf-8 character. Could be something with the underlying pygame/SDL library. Or even bad firmware in the game comtroller itself. And guess it depends which controllers you have attached. I have six controllers. From what I coould see it failed for my Fanatac SQ 1.5 shifter connected via USB adapter. Some garbage charcters at the end of the name. Maybe surround with a try catch to avoid crashing?

I got this error just after opening the program? I can't understand why, because I already selected the numpad 0 for neutral gear
