Hi, I'm Thomas! 👋

Software and DevOps Engineer, with a broad background in both Dev and Ops.

Employed as a mobile app developer, while I covertly infiltrate my company, secretly educating colleagues on the virtues of contributing to OSS... 🤫

🔭 I'm currently working on an Android mobile app for my employer, and very much invested in creating ✨ The Smoothest Development Workflow Known To Man (tm) ✨

🌱 In regard to above tasks, I'm currently busy studing the app as it exists today, as well as learning more Kotlin.

👯 I'd love to collaborate on a few pet open source projects, namely:

  • Iskaribot (a bot that sends messages from Workplace to Slack, but can be extended to do a lot more!)
  • Comicbot (a bot that gets comics from a website and sends them to Slack)
  • qvidahl.no (my personal home page)

🦋 I have a Flutter project on the side, developing a cardgame which ✨may some day✨ become a reality in an appstore near you!

CLI dashboard with graphs

Make the output of the simulator a CLI graph of the runtime values of the dice rolled, points for each round, number of rounds, avg number of rounds etc..

Implement gambling aggressiveness

Find the optimal level of gambling aggressiveness by adding a factor used to determine when the player gambles on longshots;

  • When you have 1 die left, some times you don't yield, but throw it to gamble that it will give points
  • Don't always quit when you reach the "whenTouit" value, but gamble on an extra roll

Not counting points correctly

The console output shows that points aren't being summed up properly, and the script is currently averaging at 25 rounds per game, which is about 2x what I can play "manually", so there is something wrong there.

Add option to disregard three two's

Some players claim that the 200 points you get for three two's aren't worth keeping. So we should have an option to disregard those to see if that assumption is correct.

"Multiplayer"

Make the script run with several players at once. When this is done, the level of gambling aggressiveness can be influenced by how much you're leading over the other players.
